Adyen Enables JCB Acceptance in France, Other EU Countries
Aug. 7, 2014
Adyen, a European e-commerce acquirer and payment processor based in Amsterdam, last week said it has signed an agreement with Japanese card network JCB International enabling its merchants to accept JCB-branded cards in 28 European countries. The agreement makes Adyen the first JCB licensee to enable French merchants to accept the card brand.
“JCB is a major payment scheme in Asia and increasingly popular outside of Asia,” said Roelant Prins, CCO of Adyen. “We look forward to boosting JCB card acceptance worldwide through enabling merchants to accept JCB both online and at the point of sale.”
